How to Identify Sepsis in a Loved One?
Video Transcript
What are the stages of sepsis? Stage one is a local infection, such as an infection on your skin. Stage two is when that infection enters your bloodstream and the sepsis becomes so toxic to your bloodstream that organ damage begins to result. Stage three is when your entire body becomes so overwhelmed that you go into shock. Shock is basically loss of consciousness, and the infection has so overwhelmed all your vital organs that they can’t respond anymore, leading to shock. Levin & Perconti have handled thousands of nursing home cases over many decades of representing nursing home residents and their families. They’re the most vulnerable people in our society, and they deserve this type of care.
