What I think sets us apart is we are very compartmentalized while at the same time maintaining collegiality. What I mean by that is we have a dedicated group of individuals that only talk to new clients; that’s their whole job between Monday and Friday, and on weekends if a new client calls or a potential new client calls we’ve trained these individuals to ask the right types of questions to get the information we need to determine whether or not to investigate. We have a group of individuals their sole job, if you could believe it, is just to order medical records. I have a director of client relations who manages the clients and gives them updates from the time they call us until the time we make a decision on whether or not to proceed with their case.

The investigation, it could take time; we’re always here if you think things are taking too long. Sometimes it takes a little time to get medical records, but in a medical negligence claim and a birth injury claim, a lot of the initial investigation involves gathering medical records and getting them to the right medical experts or specialists. In a birth injury case, there could be four, five, or six different types of doctors that we have to consult with to make a decision, and that takes time. That’s why it’s important to get us involved as quickly as possible.
