What Is the Typical Cost of Care for Someone Who Has Experienced a Traumatic Brain Injury?

Video Transcript

The cost of care for a person with a traumatic brain injury really depends on the circumstances of a couple of things. First, what was the person like before? Second, how badly were the brain cells or the brain areas injured? And then the third is how has the plaintiff done in their rehabilitation? The minimum many of my clients who have traumatic brain injuries, where physically they may be still able to do what they did before, but they have cognitive difficulties, so they have memory impairments or they have some kind of irritability or anger issues because of the areas of the brain that have been impacted. So for some of my clients, the treatment could be as simple as therapy, medication, and some lifestyle adjustments or assistance to get them through some more difficult cognitive periods.
