What Is the Typical Treatment for Someone That Has a Traumatic Brain Injury?

Video Transcript

At the minimum, many of my clients suffer from cognitive issues after a traumatic brain injury so that could be memory impairments, concentration issues, personality changes. So therapies and evaluations by neurologists, neuropsychologists, sometimes medication is required, and then often additional scans to make sure that everything is still the status quo. On the other end of the spectrum, a traumatic brain injury can be so bad that it can physically impact your ability to move your body, and so some of my clients will need lifetime medical care, lifetime nursing care, lifetime assistance with activities of daily living because the brain injury has so badly injured their brain that it’s impacting their actual mobility status.
